It’s not too early to sign up for rec’s fall sports leagues

The Davie County Recreation Park youth fall sports leagues will be happening in the next few months.

• If you have kids 2nd-12th grade interested in volleyball, the deadline to sign up will be July 28 and it will be $65 per participant. This volleyball league will run August-October.

• Basketball will run November-February. For kids K-5 the deadline to sign up is Oct. 21, 6th-12th grade the deadline is Nov 10, $70 per person.

• If you have children ages 10-16 interested in shooting sports they are offering basic shotgun, advanced shotgun-clay target  sports and hunting skills. A pistol shooting clinic is offered for ages 14-18. These are all on different dates and more information can be found on the website.

• If you have a teen age  of 11-16, they are able to go to the Teen Night: Glow Splash Party. It will be $5 per person and you will need to register by Aug. 4. During this time, staff will monitor the teens, who can be just that, teens.

• If interested in yoga and above the age of 12, drop in for $5 and do some yoga, ore $40 a month. Yoga will have 50 minutes of poses and 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation. This will be on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:45-9:45 a.m.

• High impact workouts will be the Kettlebell AMPD class for ages 12+ . Bring your own mat. This class will be from 4:30-5:15 on Mondays and Wednesdays. It is a $7 drop in fee and $45 if you would like to sign up for the month.
