Mrs. Marie Moore Sessoms, 75, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

She was born June 15, 1948 in Cartersville, Ga. to the late Henry Eugene and Bernice Atkins Moore. Mrs. Sessoms was a loving wife, mother, Ema and Grandma. She was also an avid reader and served for 7 terms as President of the Friends of the Lewisville Library. As a kidney transplant survivor, she was a guest speaker to numerous audiences for HonorBridge (formerly Carolina Donor Services).

In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were: 2 brothers-in-law, Don Myers and Lanny Ridgeway.

Surviving: her devoted husband of 49 years, Ed Sessoms; son, Jeff Sessoms (Amy); daughter, Amy Snyder (Jeff); son, Dan Sessoms (Alexa); 4 grandchildren, Logan Sessoms, Morgan Sessoms, Colton Sessoms, and Will Sessoms; sister, Karen Myers; a niece, Tina Bauldree (Tom); a nephew, Michael Shepard (Melissa); a sister-in-law, Linda Ridgeway; a niece, Debbie Elmore (Larry); and a nephew, Pat Ridgeway (Jewell).   

A celebration of life will be held at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center in Lewisville on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 1-4 p.m.
