If you want some Center BBQ, you’re in luck.

The one-day barbecue on US 64 West at Godbey Road, just off I-40 Exit 168 is on. You can get the barbecue by the sandwich, pound, tray or whole shoulder beginning at 8 a.m. They will be there until sold out, sponsored by the Center Volunteer Fire Department and the Center Community Development Association.

Davie County Schools will be closed for in-person learning, and all extracurricular activities scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled. It will be a remote learning day.

Other weekend events such as youth football, the music in downtown Mocksville, the Farmington Fall Fest (re-scheduled for Oct. 22) have been canceled.

Davie High School moved its home football game to Thursday night prior to the arrival of expected rains and winds from the storm, Ian.
