Expect delays when traveling on I-40 in eastern Davie County through the summer.

Nightly lane closures will be likely as contractors complete a paving project between NC 801 and Pinebrook School Road.

Starting on Monday, the contractor will install a 45-day westbound lane closure  to complete concrete slab repairs and patching. Once complete, the process will switch to the eastbound lanes. This initial repair work is needed to prepare for milling and resurfacing of the interstate.
