Jimmy Snow of Mocksville has been awarded  The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. This is presented to those who have made significant contributions to the state and their communities through “exemplary service and exceptional contributions.” This is the highest award for state service granted by the Office of the Governor. Snow worked for the state for 34 years with most of his employment being with the NC Department of Transportation.
