Mr. Charles Kevin Hendrix, 53,of Mocksville, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville.

He was born Aug. 31, 1967 in Davidson County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking barbecue. He owned and operated Hendrix BBQ on US 64 East until it closed in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Anderson Hendrix; and his mother, Mary Frances Myers Hendrix Crowell.

Survivors: his brother, James Timothy Hendrix (Denise); nieces, Jordan Hendrix and Hannah Atwood (Justin); and special friend, Ruby Birdsong.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 6 at Fulton United Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. David Gilbreath officiating. At the request of the family, please be mindful of social distancing and wear face covering.  To provide the community an opportunity to celebrate the life of Mr. Hendrix, there will be a live webcast of his service on the Lambert Funeral Home website as well as by visiting  https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/51410.

The family invites friends to come by Lambert Funeral Home, Monday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., to pay respects.  Due to COVID-19, there will not be a formal receiving line and face coverings are required.
