Tommy Gervis Gunter, 68, of Woodleaf, died Dec. 20, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House of Winston-Salem.
He was born April 21, 2019 in Rowan County, the son of the late George and Dela Mae Cheek Gunter. He was also preceded in death by a son, Paul, and sister, Arlene Wagner.
He attended West Rowan Schools, earned an associate degree from Rowan Technical Community College, and worked as a carpenter for Skyline Modular Builders for 30 years.
Survivors: a son Tommy M. Gunter (Billie); daughter, Teresa Ann Gunter (Curtis); brothers, Charlie Gunter (Cindy), Riley Gunter (Kathy), Roger Gunter; grandchildren, Harley Gunter, Haley Shore, C.J. Lankford, Jaelan Newsome; and great-grandchildren, Hayden, JoJo, Maverick, Charlie, Adi Mae.
Visitation was held from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. His funeral service followed at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Williams and the Rev. James Messer officiating.
