October is a busy month at the Davie County Public Library with seasonal activities for families.

Enter the Family Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Bring a decorated pumpkin to the library between Oct. 24-25 and complete an entry form. Pumpkins will be displayed Oct. 27-30. Patrons will vote on their favorite. Winners will be announced Oct. 31.

On Oct. 18, storytime at 11 a.m. will feature monster stories – age appropriate.

The Oct. 24 Legos and Games program from 3-5 p.m. challenges creators to make a crazy monster using Legos. Props will be provided, and creations will be displayed in the youth services area.

A magic show, “The Wizarding Experience” will take place on Monday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.

The library will be open on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31 for trick or treaters from 4-8 p.m.
