Mrs. Shelby Jean Carter Wall, 82, of Mocksville, died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at Bermuda Commons in Advance.

She was born Nov. 9, 1936 in Davie County to the late Charlie Baxter and Lilly Frances Ridenhour Carter. Mrs. Wall was dedicated to her family and loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.   

She was also preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years, Billy Ray Wall; and a sister, Annette Howell.

Survivors: 2 sons, Billy Wall (Susan) and Bobby Wall (Kathi), all of Mocksville; a sister, Judy Grubb (Dennis) of Mocksville; 4 grandchildren, Brent Wall (Kerri), Beth Carter (Justin), Anna Wilson, all of Mocksville and Lorie Frye (Ben), of Advance; 9 great-grandchildren, Spencer, Mason and Katherine Wilson, Charlie and Stella Frye, Cooper and Carly Wall and Rylea and Holt Carter; several special nieces and nephews; and a special little dog, Polly.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31 at Liberty United Methodist Church with the Revs. Steve Rainey and Gary Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
