COOLEEMEE – Slow down.

That’s the advice from Police Chief Bobby West, who said Tuesday that his officers have written dozens of speeding tickets in the past few weeks.

Most streets in town are 25 mph, and motorists not only are speeding, they are going way over that limit. One was clocked at 85 mph in a 25 mph zone.

He said the department will continue to crack down on speeding.
