Elaine Huffman Culler

Mrs. Elaine Huffman Culler, 77, of Liberty Church Road, Mocksville, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born June 14, 1940, in Davie County to the late James Monroe and Josephine Draughn. Mrs. Culler was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church where she had been the director of WMU. She had been employed at Western Steer and South Davie Middle School. Mrs. Culler was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was an excellent homemaker and loved her dog, “Bubba”.
She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, David, Joe and Avery Huffman; and a brother-in-law, Charles Culler.
Survivors: her husband of 60 years, Mel Culler of the home; a son, Ronnie Lee Culler of Winston-Salem; 6 siblings, Ken Huffman of Lexington, Judy Boles (Donnie) of Mocksville, Betty Byerly (Eugene) of Lexington, Pat Hawks of Stokesdale, Allen Huffman (Rita) and Steve Huffman (Jennie) all of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 26 at Bear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg McEwen and Dr. Charles Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
