Mr. Gilmer Hubert “Buddy” McClamrock, 89, of Mocksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

He was born Feb. 2, 1928 in Davie County to the late Hubert and Polly Baker McClamrock. Mr. McClamrock was a lifelong member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. McClamrock had been employed by Hanes Hosiery for many years, and also enjoyed farming.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Hubert Clay McClamrock Sr.

Survivors: a son, Randy McClamrock (Vicki) of Mooresville; a daughter-in-law, Judy McClamrock of Mocksville; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Lowder of Mocksville.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rodney Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
