Mr. Woodrow Wilson Howell, 95, formerly of Pudding Ridge Road, Mocksville, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Bermuda Commons in Advance.
He was born Feb. 9, 1922 in Davie County to the late Oscar Morrison and Mae Belle Furches Howell. Mr. Howell was a member of Blaise Baptist Church. He retired from Ingersoll-Rand and enjoyed farming and traveling.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ladean Lakey Howell; his second wife, Evelyn Stewart Howell; his third wife, Mary Cartner Howell; a daughter, Sandra Howell; a grandson, Ryan Hickey; a sister, Belle Pair; and 2 brothers, Sam and Ezra Howell.
Survivors: 3 children, Carol Ambrose of New York, Charlie Howell (Sandi) and Stewart Howell (LuVada) all of Mocksville; 6 grandchildren, Tony Grogan, Patrick Hickey (Karen), Matt Howell (Stephanie), Jason Wisecarver (C.J.), Jordan Howell (Kelli) and Rachel Howell; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Louise Smith of Somerset Court.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Blaise Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
