Cooleemee’s Annual 4th of July Lawnmower Parade will be Tuesday. July 4 starting at 10 a.m.
Lawnmowers, bikes, dogs, cars, golf carts, floats and anything else you wish to decorate to express Independence Day will be considered for a first, second or third place winner.
Free watermelon, ice-cream, free enjoyment on 16-foot blowup water slide, water games, watermelon seed spitting contest, greasy pole contest, gospel singing, DJ for additional music, VFW fresh hotdogs, chips and drink for sale and more.
Anyone needing space for crafts ($20) or yard (sale $5), booths will be available. Please call 336-250-1133.
Please come join us for fun and fellowship and don’t forget to bring a lawn chair.
RiverPark’s Annual Duck Race is July 15. Tickets are available at Town Hall, Davie Parks and Rec, Hot Diggity Diner, Hot Diggity Dog, Ellis Park in Salisbury and Chamber of Commerce in Mocksville.
Congratulations to our Rocky Knoll Rangers who competed in the N.C. Shooting Sports Games and Rifle and Pistol Association. Everyone competes in age categories and they all should be proud of their ranking. Great job.
