A Davie County High School teacher who was dismissed from her job earlier this month has been arrested.

Jessica Welch Greene, 27, of Davie Academy Road, Mocksville, was charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student. She was taken into custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.

Davie Sheriff’s Chief J.D. Hartman said the department received a tip from the school system that Greene may have had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The joint investigation between the sheriff’s department and schools revealed that Greene had sexual contact with a student, on and off campus, between Nov. 1 and the first week of December.
