Margaret B. Cranfill

Margaret B. Cranfill, 83, died on Nov. 17, 2016 after an extended period of declining health.

Born Jan. 29, 1933 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lula Steelman Baggarly. She spent most of her life caring for others and was known for baking and sharing banana bread, being a reader and watching QVC.

She is also preceded in death by grandson, Steven Cranfill; brother, Charlie Baggarly and sister, Dorothy B. Richardson.

Survivors: her 4 children, Dianne Riedel (Jay), Jerry Cranfill (Beverly), Vicky Cranfill and Scott Cranfill (Debbie); grandchildren, Decca and Wendy, Neil and Brent, Matt, Zachary and Casey; sisters, Marie Powell and Mary Nicholson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive  friends from 1-2 pm in the chapel.
