Mrs. Debra Anne Tkach Lowdermilk, 57, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

She was born April 27, 1959, in Pensacola, Fla. to the late Edward Michael and Frances Ann Chaffin Tkach.  She lived her life fully and out loud. She was unapologetically genuine. She had an infectious laugh and her smile radiated from within.  She was an incredible cook, crossword puzzle genius, resident family nurse, a talented musician and a master stocking stuffer. The world will be a little less bright without her in it.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Michael Lowdermilk; and a sister, Valerie Harris.

Survivors: her husband, William Grady “Gray” Lowdermilk Jr. of the home; 3 children, Will Lowdermilk (Tommie), Kelly Lowdermilk, all of Winston-Salem and J.R. Wagner (Brianna) of Mamers; siblings, Ann Bailey, Patti Edson (Mike), Ed Tkach (Dave), Albert Tkach (Donna), Frankie Starnes (James), David Tkach (Paula) and Cliff Tkach (Renae); mother-in-law, Shirley Lowdermilk; and several nieces and nephews

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 20 at Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
