Hester Caroline Johnson Sizemore, 75, of Advance died at her home Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 following a period of declining health. S

he was born in Tazewell County, Va. on June 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Johnson and Mary Virgie Dunfore Johnson. She was the widow of James Neil Sizemore and they were married for 49 years. Mrs. Sizemore retired from the healthcare field where she worked for many years as a CNA. She served in and around Davie County and with Davie County Home Health Agency.

She was also preceded in death by 4 siblings: Thomas Andrew Johnson Jr., Barbara Blankenship, Kenneth Johnson and Alice Barnette.

Survivors: 4 children, Veronica Sizemore (Gary) and Pamela Sizemore (Robert), all of Advance, Randall Sizemore (Melinda) of Mocksville, and John Sizemore (Christy) of Florida; 8 grandchildren, Keli, Caroline, Casey, Brandon, Lauren, Cody, Avery and Jackson; and 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tucker, Bloyce and Landon.

The family received friends Sunday, Nov. 6 at Davie Funeral Chapel in Mocksville. A celebration of life memorial service was at 3 p.m. in the chapel officiated by Chaplain Brenda McCalop and Jackson Cornatzer.
