Members of Piedmont CARS have been busy this summer.
In addition to hosting the Mocksville Cruise-In the first Monday of each month, they have visited several places.
The cruisers visited Cody Creek in Dobson, picnicked at the Harmony Gardens and toured the old Trivette Clinic which is said to be haunted; visited the Salisbury Veterans Home; entertained the residents of Autumn Care in Mocksville; and attended a 50s Day party at Pinebrook Elementary in Davie County.
If you would like to know more about Piedmont CARS, contact Jim Dean at 336-492-6053 or like it at Mocksville Cruise-In on Facebook.
The group will travel to the Richard Petty Garage on Oct. 1 for the next outing; then later this year they will visit the VA Memorial Graveyard in Salisbury to help place wreaths on the veterans tombstones.
