Phillip James Brake

Phillip James Brake, 38, died Aug. 1, 2016 at Davie Medical Center.
He was born in Warren, Ohio, and came to North Carolina at age 18. He attended UNC-G in Greensboro, and was employed by Webb Heating and Air in Advance. He was a talented artist.
Survivors: his wife, Cynthia Devers Brake of the home; a son, Simeon K. Brake of the home; 3 daughters, Alexandra D. Brake, Samantha J. Brake, and Hannah F. Brake, all of the home; his parents, Michael and Kathleen Brake of Mocksville; a brother, Daniel R. Brake of Mocksville; 3 sisters, Michelle (Hoang) Dang, Natalie Saad, and Kelly Brake, all of Mocksville; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. at Cooleemee Church of God. Pastor John Brake will officiate, and burial will follow in Rose Cemetery in Mocksville. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
