Second Steps students at William R. Davie have been studying the craft and style of Jan Brett’s writing and illustrations.

To complete the study, students painted using watercolors. Tutors worked alongside the students discussing details from the books they have been reading with the students.

The students are writing letters to Jan Brett. They are hopeful that she will write back. She is a famous author and illustrator.
