Restaurant 101 or O’Callahan’s Publick House?

Choose your favorite of the two Downtown Mocksville restaurants.

The Davie County Chamber of Commerce recently completed public voting for the 3rd Annual Best of Davie awards to be announced at the annual awards gala on Jan. 14.

The results of voting revealed that over twice as many votes were cast this year compared to last and – there is a tie for Best Restaurant in Davie County.  While several restaurants were nominated, Restaurant 101 and O’Callahan’s Publick House received the same number of votes.

One will be named the 2015 Best Restaurant in Davie County, according to the poll.

Since the public decides who wins the Best of Davie Awards, the chamber has decided to hold an online tie breaker to determine the winner.

Voting will run  through Wednesday, Jan. 6 on the chamber’s website.

“We were pretty surprised to have a tie in any of the categories and are excited to see how the public votes,” said Carolyn McManamy, president of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce.

“Adding the Best of Davie Awards to the Chamber’s Annual Awards Gala has provided us the opportunity to not only highlight all the outstanding businesses here in our own community as well the importance of shopping local,” McManamy said.
