Rob Taylor filed for re-election to the Mocksville Town Board on Monday, the first day candidates could file for a seat to be decided in November.

The filing period for municipal offices in Bermuda Run, Cooleemee, and Mocksville, closes at noon on Friday, July 17.

Filing will be conducted for the offices of:

• Town of Bermuda Run Mayor  Ken Rethmeier and Council seats held by John Guglielmi and Jerry West;

• Town of Cooleemee Mayor Lynn Rumley, and commission seats held by James Szymanski, Jean Snead and Daphne Beck (1 a two-year term); and

• Town of Mocksville Mayor Dr. F.W. Slate, and commission seats held by Will Marklin and Rob Taylor.

Filing fees are $5 and may be paid to the Davie County Board of Elections, 161 Poplar St., Suite 102.  Contact the elections office with questions at 753-6072.
