The Davie County Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Home & Garden Expo Thursday, March 26 from 4-7 p.m. in Walmart’s Garden Center parking lot in Mocksville.
More than 20 vendors will showcase and sell products and services at the expo, which is free and open to the public. Walmart will provide complimentary hotdogs, chips and drinks to those who are shopping with donations going to the Children’s Miracle Network. There will be a drawing for a free stainless steel gas grill to be given away.
“This Home & Garden Expo is a great way to prepare your home for the spring season while supporting our local businesses,” said Carolyn McManamy, chamber president. “It’s an opportunity for consumers to support several local businesses and to have a positive impact on the economic vitality of our community.
“When we choose to purchase goods and services in the community where we live, pay taxes, and send our children to school, we are investing in the well-being of our community and also creating a more prosperous place to live.
“When we spend our money online or in other communities, we’re investing in their success, not ours. Simply put, it matters where we spend our money.” said McManamy.
“This expo was designed to accomplish two key goals: first, it allows us to promote many of our wonderful local businesses while showcasing one of our chamber members, Walmart. Secondly, it’s a great networking opportunity for our chamber members and guests. With vendor space filling up and marketing in full swing, we’re looking forward to hosting a large crowd on March 26.”
This event is one of several networking opportunities organized by the chamber throughout the year.
