Jimmy Thomas Myers

Mr. Jimmy Thomas Myers, 77, of Mocksville, died Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. 

He was born Oct. 20, 1936 in Davie County to George Zackeris and Fallie Phelps Myers. Mr. Myers was a member of Mocks United Methodist Church. 

Survivors: his wife, Peggy Smith Myers of the home, a daughter, Misty Dawn Griffin, a grandson, Joshua Lane Griffin and wife Courtney, a granddaughter, Shadia Griffin, and 3 great-granddaughters, Charish, Bayli and Honor, all of Mocksville; a brother, Herman Myers of Advance; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 20 at Mocks United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bill Taylor and Jackie Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service at the church.
