Harold Eugene Wood

Mr. Harold Eugene Wood, 70, of Farmington Road, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at his home. 

He was born April 30, 1944 in Davie County to the late Robert Lee and Hattie Mae Freeman Wood. He retired from KOSA after 30 years. He was a simple and generous man. It did not take much to make him happy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and was a NASCAR fan. His family meant everything to him. 

He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry Gray Wood and Robert McKinley Wood; and a dear friend, Linda Wood. 

Survivors: a daughter, Donna Creason (Perry) of Mocksville; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Lauren Johnson (Adam) and Kevin Lynn Creason; a great-grandson, Sylas Johnson; nieces and nephews, Glenda Thompson, Sue Sims, Buster Wood, Jerry Wayne Wood, Jay Wood, Mark Wood and Janice Claybrook. 

A funeral service was to be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 2 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Barker officiating. Burial was to follow in Farmington Community Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, July 1, at the funeral home.
