It’s Official Gildan To Create 290 Jobs;

Gov. Pat McCrory was in town again last week to make it official: Gildan Yarns will invest $112 million and create some 290 jobs at a new plant in Mocksville.
The announcement came a day after county commissioners and Mocksville Town Board members approved incentives to lure the company here. It was also considering sites in South Carolina.
McCrory also announced that Gildan is expanding current operations in Rowan and Bladen counties.
While Terry Bralley, president of the Davie Economic Development Commission, was again front and center, he deflected credit for the announcement to the community.
