Is School Board Deceitful? Woman Says County Board Chair Made That Statement

Abbie Sancrant had a direct question for Robert Wisecarver, chair of the Davie County Board of Commissioners.
She didn’t get an answer.
During the public speaking portion of the county commission meeting on Monday night, she talked about trying to reach Wisecarver and Commissioners Mark Jones and Carl Humphrey, the three she said have been against past efforts to build a new high school. Wisecarver and Jones talked to her, and Humphrey did not return her call (He was absent Monday due to the death of his brother.), she said.
Although Wisecarver was generous with his time, Sancraft said she was disturbed by something Wisecarver told her over the telephone: “Our school board in Davie County has been deceitful.” She looked at him and said, “Can you explain that?”
As he did prior to her speaking, County Attorney Ed Voger Jr. interjected, noting that there was to be no dialogue between speakers and board members.
Sancraft said it is not in the best interest of Davie County for a member of one government entity to call another government entity “deceitful.”
She is writing a blog on the frustration of Davie County not getting a new high school, and hopes the new effort to build one new high school will be successful …
